The patriotic vibes certainly were flowing this week on Instagram! There was so much red-white-and-blue pride in our #cider community, which is so refreshing to see. Though many of your favorite cideries were closed on Wednesday to celebrate the holiday, there were plenty of funny memes, upcoming events, and contests to talk about! Be sure to check your local cidery’s holiday schedule before you head out this weekend.

Just in time for the holiday week, Courthouse Creek Cider hosted the grand opening of its newest tasting room! Located in the Scott’s Addition Historic District of Richmond, Virginia, Courthouse Creek opened its doors to the public for the event on Saturday, June 30th. From 12 p.m.-10 p.m., guests were invited to check out not only the tasting room but also the outdoor patio and the beautiful upstairs garden. What would be lovelier than sitting out in the summer sunshine with a glass of Courthouse Creek’s Endless Summer? This is a peach-infused cider that pairs with every summer activity. Courthouse Creek’s cider is available for purchase on the premises.

It’s cider release time in Tennessee! If you love rosés, then you will be amped to hear this news. Diskin Cider is releasing their Daydream Rosé on Friday, July 6th. The second edition in their “Rosé All Summer” series, Daydream’s exciting new flavor is being kept a secret, so if you want to discover what the hype is all about, you will need to get to the much-anticipated launch event. From 4 p.m.-11 p.m., guests can stop by the Nashville taproom and sample some of this inspired cider and help support a worthy cause. Diskin Cider is partnering with the Nashville LGBT Chamber and will be donating a part of the event proceeds to this organization. Fun and inspiring — that’s a cider we can get behind!

Who doesn’t love a giveaway, am I right?! Stoked Cider in Los Angeles is hosting its very own 4th of July Giveaway, and it is something you do not want to miss. Their Sacramento taproom will be bustling with plenty of music, food and tasty cider starting this Friday, July 6th and the party will continue all weekend long, until Sunday, July 8th. Surf rock music and traditional bluegrass will be setting the vibes for this family-friendly event. Pipin’ Hot Smokers BBQ will also be on the scene serving up some of their lip-smacking BBQ goodness! This is going to be a great time in Sacramento, California, so don’t miss out!

4th of July Puppy PSA: When I was younger, we had a Golden Retriever named Dakota who loved everything except for three things: baths, Q-tips (don’t ask), and fireworks. This holiday was always hard for him, and his anxiety got the better of him, as he used to hide under the desk in my parent’s office when the loud bangs and crackles began at dusk.
Thank you to Bold Rock Hard Cider for this reminder to celebrate our freedom with merriment and plenty of cider, but please don’t forget about your furry friends.
