The European tradition of wassailing is a custom in which a local community gathers at an apple orchard and sings old time carols to encourage a plentiful cider apple harvest in the months to come. And although Frecon’s Cidery won’t require you to exercise those vocal cords at their upcoming Wassail, they have gone ahead and enlisted the help of some area musicians to lead the day’s activities.Join the cider experts on Saturday, May 2, from noon–5 p.m. for the 2nd annual Frecon’s Cidery’s Wassail. You’ll enjoy wood-fired pizza, plenty of options from the Frecon Farm bakery and delicious BBQ dishes from Oink and Moo BBQ. Live music will be provided by Manatawny Creek Ramblers, Flux Capacitor and The Cider House Band.
Purchase your tickets ahead of time to take advantage of the special $20 price tag. Included with your ticket is a souvenir pint glass and three drink tickets, each good for a pint of Early Man or Hogshead Cider. Because of its ABV percentage, Crabby Granny cider can be purchased with two drink tickets.
